about

Angee is a Midwest-based photographer and writer.

Born and raised just outside of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Angee found her passion for photography through simply looking at the world around her. The texture of the pavement, the shadows of the blinds, and the way a stranger looks as they pass you on the street inspired her to start capturing every day moments that often aren’t considered. Through her photography, Angee seeks out the mundane and overlooked to force viewers to find fascination in the completely usual.

While this muse is extensive and apparent in most of Angee’s work, she doesn’t let it limit her artistic endeavors. First picking up a camera in 2008, Angee’s works have spanned many genres including landscape, portraiture, street, music, stylized surrealism, and abstraction. Recently, Angee has been using photography as a study for sociology - using the lens to dissect human society and inviting her subjects to analyze their own rationale.

Angee’s work has been featured, published, and awarded in different disciplines across the years. Her photography received three gold key awards, and two silver key awards in the Scholastic Art Competition, her work A Closer Look awarded Angee a full scholarship, and selections from SPOT were published in DePaul University’s Crook & Folly magazine. Angee has also been very active in the music industry, with her photography being featured on platforms such as Dirtybird Records and Riot Fest Chicago.
